This small sign board for handbills is an echo of another time. It gives the people who want to place handbills where people will see them a place – and (hopefully) keeps them from posting them on the walls and doors of homes. It gives people in the area a place to look for announcements. I love this one. The handbills are random, but they present a collage of entertainment and life. If you could peel back the layers over the decades this little signboard has been in place, you would know a lot about this community. If only we could do something like this for the taggers who infect our neighborhoods today.
