One A Day – 241

I rarely post galleries of photos anymore – mainly because it detracts from the value of each photo by itself. But this is a special occasion and a gift for a friend. Chris Sanchez gave a blues concert this last weekend at Cactux – a popular bar in Centro. His idea was to record the concert and include many other musicians in the mix.

Cactux uses classic club lighting – lots of strong colors and contrasts in random rotation. I don’t get to shoot in that kind of situation too often, so you really haven’t seen photos quite like this on my site before. It isn’t that I can’t – I just don’t get the opportunity too often but when I do, it is a lot of fun. And for those that wonder – these are all natural light photographs – no flash, no toning.

The occasion for this gallery is Chris Sanchez’s birthday – Happy Birthday Chris. Play on man, Play on..
