Every year, for the opening of the International Music Festival in Morelia, the flower artists of Patamban are invited to provide a carpet of flowers along the Calzada in Morelia. They start early in the morning with each family group taking a panel, developing their panel from the center out to the sides. All of the colors and elements are natural and laid out by hand that morning. It is a beautiful and ephemeral display. I do have more pictures I will put up over the coming days – for now – enjoy this small sampling.
