After considerable work, I managed to download the new Adobe Lightroom 6, desktop version as an upgrade. Adobe really doesn’t want to sell it – they want you to buy the cloud-based subscription version. Frankly, I don’t want to be syncing the size files I have, especially in high dynamic range, to the cloud. Lightroom 6 merges the multiple RAW files to an even larger RAW file, which is great because the amount of detail in the merged file is extreme. What I can do with the merged, HDR file is wild. You are only seeing some of the detail because I purposely cut the file size for the web.

This is a part of a set I took in Centro – Almost all in multiple, bracketed exposures while the camera was mounted on a monopod. There will be more for sure. I am amazed at what comes out of the process.
