Birthday Burgers at Rio53

It’s my birthday so you only get two photos today. Sorry, but that is my rule. The top photo was taken yesterday on a photowalk in the late afternoon. The scene purposely includes the older gentleman (left) and the the contrast with the mannequin on the right. Message? The passage of time perhaps? Would that be too polite?

The other picture is of the $6 burgers we had at Rio53. Mine was lamb, Candice had portabello burger and Valda had a sirloin burger. There was also a desert – poached pears in red wine with a sponge cake base and whipping cream on the side. Good and well worth the 5K walk (there and back) I had to take for it.

Thanks to Candace and Valda for a wonderful birthday lunch and the exercise – I needed the walk. I saw several other places I need to try.

I was thinking I would go out this evening, but it is raining cats, dogs and other assorted animals – so it seems the gods don’t really want me to go. Not a problem. 🙂
