This is a group playing in the plaza near my home. I was expecting to see the jazz group that followed, but the schedule on Facebook was wrong (not all that unusual) and I arrived early. Tuna groups are similar to modern mariachi but they sing renaissance songs and use instruments common to that era.  There are international competitions in the genre and you can see the medallions and ribbons of this group in front of them on the stage. I’ve seen them before, but not in a setting like San Agustin.
