My first major exhibition has started and will stay up at MACAZ through the 20th of October. I’m winding down. It was a long day and is still a bit difficult to process. I’ll have some photos of the evening in a few days, I’m still catching up after turning my focus to mounting the work for the last couple of weeks.

As I have said before, there will be more exhibitions. Some will be offshoots of the current show, but that is easy. What is more difficult is saying what is next. I’m still not completely sure, but what I know is that I want to continue the jazz series while I go into something more based on photowalks and portraits of artists in the region. There are several things I am considering but another aspect of the move is to work on styles that I can visualize while shooting. You can call this post a bit experimental or investigative perhaps – but if things go like they usually do I will keep “evolving” style throughout the development of the next phase of the Retratos series.

To go along with that is a move toward some sort of internet-based funding to back some of my work. I’ve held off on it because until the Talentos en Jazz show was up, I had no current and physical presence. Most of my work in the past few years has only been on the internet and in social media. I think it is good work and I may be a bit old fashioned, but I don’t think that is good enough to attack a group of people to support future projects. So, in the near future, look for something along those lines….
