Why would I put a picture of a small gas tank on a roof here? Simply to call attention to the fact that it is woefully inadequate. This tank was given free to the orphanage I have mentioned in previous posts and that is wonderful. But this is a home to many children. A tank this size is likely to need filling more than once in a week. Each time requires someone to summon the gas truck and be available, money in hand when the delivery is completed. There isn’t a lot of staff. There are a lot of things to do to provide a good home to 22 kids. Things will fall through the cracks at the worst time.

It is a problem that can be solved. One person or a group of people can give enough to buy a better-sized tank, in one lump sum or a little at a time.

This isn’t to say this is the only thing the Hogar needs. It is one simple example of the things beyond the daily costs of feeding and clothing these kids that can be addressed. If you are in Morelia, you can contact them directly. If you are not, contact me and I will put you in touch with Susan Martinez.

Let’s just do it.
