A team working together on software for an enterprise client in the US. Two computers, three LCDs, with assorted smartphones and tablets at times for testing – pretty common in today’s multi-device world. Less common is their working environment, a close arrangement of workstations instead of cubes to enable agile collaboration. They all have headphones, are listening to music and occasionally taking part in VOIP conference calls with clients. Someone commented once that our office is quieter than a library.

So. don’t take from the photos you see on a regular basis that Mexico is backward and bucolic. It is beautiful with some of the warmest, nicest people I have ever met. It is many things, but it is also part of the modern technical world.
