These are two very different ways of blue toning a digital photo. I don’t usually show them side-by-side but here, it shows how the mood can be changed by something relatively minor. The cross-process in Blue Mood 1 has a blue-green tone that does well for closeups and lower contrast scenes. The process in Blue Mood 2 favors scenes where you want to keep the contrast higher but still maintain decent shadow detail and clean whites.

This evening we had a wide range of musicians jamming in blues styles. It is a wonderful to have so many excellent musicians in a city this size and to be part of this community of artists. For me, these photos are a way of giving back.
