Yes, for once this is just exactly as advertised. One photograph. And, it is just a photograph. There was a trip to Lightroom for balancing but that is required anyway. No fractals. No tone-mapping. I shoot my photos as digital negatives (Adobe RAW) and you can’t use them directly to publish so I have to go into Lightroom to produce a jpeg for the web. This was shot with my Sigma 18-250 to get the out of focus background needed for the shot.

The walk I took was about 5 feet. The two leaves were hanging on the clothesline on my patio when I got up and looked out my back patio door. I knew what I wanted to do, so after a few attempts I didn’t care for, I took the photo and walked back into my apartment to load the memory card into my laptop.

I don’t know how the leaves ended up there. I know they weren’t there yesterday. I look out the large patio window every morning when I get up and I open the blinds. Serendipity. They probably won’t be there tomorrow.

Hang in there. Don’t wait for miracles. Accept them gratefully when they come your way.
