Do I love what happens to color and detail in the processes I use? Heh, for sure. We are used to how our eyes see things. We don’t realize there is more detail and variation than we can process in the fleeting microseconds it takes our brains to process an image, so we’re happy with “literal” interpretations. I’m here to tell you – there is more to see in your world.

I’m getting ready for an exhibition of my photos in the near future. It is a daunting process. This show will be limited to the photos I have taken of jazz artists in Morelia. I want to continue to promote our unique position as a city of music and art, so getting close to a release is a nice moment. But even with the focus of the show, still I have a more than 1,000 photos that could be used. Trimming them down to something manageable for an exhibition is scary.

Oh well, you have to start someplace.
