Another set of photos from the concert with JC Cortes and the Blues Machine, this time with photos of David Blink on his trumpet and washboard. The energy, respect and collaboration between these artists is apparent in these shots and in the music they played. I loved seeing them work together and hearing the result.

In the course of working on this set, I developed a “preset” for some of the post-editing tools I use to make the results more consistent and integrated into my vision of how photos like these should look. So, instead of the usual 30 minutes to an hour sometimes, I’ve gotten the edit work down to around 15-20 minutes with work that requires only minor adjustment to fit the unique aspects of the particular image. I’m very happy with that outcome and the results I’m seeing. I don’t intend on using this setting for everything I do of course, but when I do use it – I want it to be easy to do and “just right.”
