Dizzy Ventilators is actually a duo – Daniel and Yusuke – with a guest, which was Todd Clouser here in Amati. They play a form of free jazz – but honestly it is not the anarchy of sound that most bands use. There are strong rhythms, tonal passages and a structure that make it very listenable and possible for guest artists to join in the interpretations easily. We all loved their work and would love to see them and more of this style of jazz when the opportunity comes.
