I really enjoy using my skill and time to highlight the work of other artists – and dancers are no exception. By my standards, this is a large set (it looks like there will be four posts) for one evening’s performance. But in all honesty, it was a show by different dance groups, each one being enough for a solo show. And, this kind of work just doesn’t get the kind of attention it deserves. These dancers work for the love of the work, not money or fame. Those rewards are limited to a very small number of dancers. They have taken real hits for their passion too – I can see it in the arms, legs and muscles that drive them.

There is the other thing too. I love to take photos of dance. I’m not particularly into the well-lit studio type photos that grace the pages of art magazines though. The fact that dance moves, that there is emotion and effort in every step is important. I think you should see it, feel it.

More coming….
