Last week I went to a fair in Nurio, a Purepecha pueblo not too far from Capacuaro.  The event was a harvest fair with roots back to pre-Hispanic times and it was a very nice visit. These are photos of the historic and beautiful church in Nurio and the small chapel behind it. Both are unique examples of architectural and decorative styles dating back centuries. I would have been sadly remiss to have ignored them. It isn’t easy to get to Nurio from Morelia, but it is a worthwhile trip. I do have photos of the first day of the festival and I hope to post them soon.

There are a lot of photos in this post, but I wanted to keep the photos of the church together as much as possible.
