My good friend Erick has bees outside of Cuitzeo, a town and lake near the border with the state of Guanajuato. I’ve wanted to go out for a long time so when the opportunity came, I jumped on it. San Agustin del Pulke is a small pueblo on the edge of the lake and Eric’s bees are in a relatively remote area not too far away. There had been some very heavy rains from a hurricane off the coast recently and areas that normally were safe to drive through were very soft. As you can see from the photos, we got stuck.

With the help of some people Erick found in town and their four-wheel drive, we got out of the mud and to the beehives. All is well.
