This was a great night of jazz for a new project with friends. We enjoyed it very much – but the photos from the evening did send me down a bit of a rabbit hole as I worked to find the best approach for representing the feelings I got from the group. I always try to bring out the essence of the performances we see, but there are a lot of artistic choices in the process. I hope my work does them justice and I’m sure, there will be more opportunities.
